Final Week
Indeed it has been three long years but I am at my final week. I have so many exciting things at my finger tips. One of them being that darn diploma finally in my hands. I do not walk until August but I will be walking (by my husbands request). I am over joyed that this long journey is over and excited for the time I have had to study and learn so much more about myself. I am still holding a 3.5 GPA and the deans list for the semester and well see what I come out with at graduation.
So , this week entails some final exams and the presentation of my senior project. On top of that I have a lot of new and exciting things happening at work. I have been given a lot of great responsiblities with the new HR director and am learning so much more. It has been a great growing experience. Now I am just trying to balance the work load and try to continue to be home for my husband....
Which today was our 23 months. Next month it will be two year anniversary. We went to a new place off Carowinds the other day where they have turned an old shopping mart into a hispanic market. I promise I felt like I was transported to our honeymoon. It was great. If you are in the area and would like to see a great taste of Mexico it's a wonderful stop and it has a huge play place for kids too. I wish I was smalll enough to play like that again...or at least be able to get away with it.
Anyways with the final week here I am sorting through my goals for the rest of the year. I can't wait to read novels and other books again. I have on the top of my list to finish "The Truth War" by John McArthur by the summers end. I also have to read through some of Dave Ramsey's financial peace book and work on our debt plan. I plan on holding my first yard sale by the end of August. I also plan on starting to scrapbook, paint and possibly kayak again. More than anything I want to get back in shape and take time to walk. I also plan on working on some new receipes and learning how to cook on a regular basis. I'll let you know how it turns out.
The best part about this moment is that I am here. I have made it and I am so thankful that it is over and I can move on with learning other things and that will benefit and help me in my spiritual life, family, and career path now. However, all that has transpired since I graduated high school in 2000 has been a wonderful experience and trip.
Here's to the next chapter...
